Montgomery County Public Schools Division of Food and Nutrition Services will be participating in Maryland Homegrown School Lunch Week September 22nd through 26th.
During the week, cafeterias will be promoting Maryland agriculture through school meals by featuring various Maryland homegrown seasonal fruits and vegetables daily on the lunch menu. Morning announcements will inform students of the menu items that are being featured each day as Maryland Homegrown Products. We look forward to introducing the students to these products and hope they enjoy a taste of Maryland’s finest.

GRADE 3 CLASSROOM GUIDANCE CONTINUES…………….FOR GRADE 3 PARENTS …………Hopefully, at this time your children have talked with you about some of the things we have been working on.  This week we will be working on Interpersonal Development.  We will talk about how important it is for students to be accountable for the consequences of their behavior.  The objective of this lesson will be students will be able to indicate through a written prompt the effect of what they say/think, how they look at others, and what they do, on their own reputation (how others see them).  Look for a handout in their take-home folder after their lesson.

Rosh Hashanah   from  - http://www.jewfaq.org/holiday2.htm
In Hebrew, Rosh Hashanah means, literally, "head of the year" or "first of the year." Rosh Hashanah is commonly known as the Jewish New Year. This name is somewhat deceptive, because there is little similarity between Rosh Hashanah, one of the holiest days of the year, and the American midnight. There is, however, one important similarity between the Jewish New Year and the American one: Many Americans use the New Year as a time to plan a better life, making "resolutions." Likewise, the Jewish New Year is a time to begin introspection, looking back at the mistakes of the past year and planning the changes to make in the new year.
