Welcome back!  I assume everyone had a fantastic break and hope you are ready to tackle the last nine weeks or so of school!!  Summer is just around the corner, but, wait—teachers will still be assigning homework, projects and giving tests and quizzes!  So please, moms and dads, encourage your youngsters to continue reading their 100 minutes or more per week and working their hardest during these next couple of months so we can all be proud of our accomplishments—Believe, Achieve and Succeed—all the way until June 16th! Don’t give up now—you are almost there!

Additionally, please review the Page rules with your child….we would like all of our students to maintain appropriate behavior for the remainder of the year.  Your child should be able to recite (and explain) the rules to you, but in case they forgot, here they are:

1.   Respect others and yourself (this includes using appropriate language at all times!)
2.   Follow directions
3.   Always remember to keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
4.   Take care of our school

Don’t forget! Kindergarten orientation is scheduled for Friday, April 24th, at our school.  If you have or know of any child living in our community who will be turning five on or before September 1, 2009, please contact our school secretary, Mrs. Snapp, at 301-989-5672, to make an appointment for registration on this day.

Please be sure to record your volunteer hours every time you volunteer.  Schools are required by MCPS to log a certain number of volunteer hours per month.  Due to low reporting, W.T. Page is falling short of that standard.  For your convenience, electronic submission is now available at:
